With an associate degree in Human Services from Blackhawk, you can become an advocate for the individuals and communities that are facing such issues and help change the world. BTC s Human Services Associate program provides a comprehensive range of training geared towards social agencies, counseling centers, educational institutions or correctional facilities. The curriculum combines the fundamentals of psychology, stress management, conflict management and social problems with specialized study opportunities and real-world training. BTC Career Services helps students explore careers, prepare for the job application process and find current opportunities. BTC offers resume writing, mock interviews, job search techniques, and internships, when available.
Blackhawk Technical College provides free tutoring services to credit students enrolled at the college. We offer online, open lab and peer tutoring. Also counseling services are available.

Refunds are processed according to the Wisconsin Technical College System Refund Policy for program, material and activity fees. To receive refunds, you must formally request refunds from Registration and Records by notifying them of your intent to drop a class(es) or completely withdraw from all classes. Requests for refunds must be received during the same term of enrollment. Refund requests are time-sensitive as each day that passes may affect the amount of refund you are eligible.

MAKING SENSE OF THE EMPLOYMENT OUTCOMES:

"Average quarterly wages" means the total wages earned in a three-month period by all students who completed the program ("completers"), divided by the total number of completers.

"Median quarterly wages" means all the completers' quarterly wages are placed in order from lowest to highest and then we identify the student's wages in the middle. This information is provided because averages can be greatly influenced by really high and low wage earners.

To estimate monthly wages, divide the quarterly wages by three.
